PepsiCo, a global leader in food and beverages, sought to enhance data visibility across the vast network of retail locations in the United States. With a diverse range of products distributed across various retailers, PepsiCo faced the challenge of aggregating, analyzing, and visualizing stores’ data to make informed business decisions.
The goal was to create a dynamic and interactive dashboard that could provide detailed insights into store performances, consumer profiles, and product categories.

Used to centralize and manage the vast amounts of data coming from various sources, Snowflake's capabilities allowed for efficient data processing and storage, forming the backbone of the dashboard's data architecture.
Used to enable the development of an interactive map feature within the dashboard, allowing users to visually explore data by geographical locations, such as retail outlets selling PepsiCo products.
PepsiCo's initial efforts led to the creation of a prototype dashboard using Power BI. However, this prototype lacked the sophistication and flexibility required to meet PepsiCo's complex needs. The company needed a comprehensive solution that could integrate data from numerous sources, offer intuitive data visualization, and support data-driven decision-making processes. Furthermore, PepsiCo aspired to make this tool accessible not only internally but also potentially to its retail partners, enhancing collaboration and strategic planning.
This initial phase helped DOOR3 understand PepsiCo's current state, the limitations of their existing prototype, and the specific objectives for the new dashboard.

The dashboard provided a consolidated view of data from thousands of stores, offering insights into sales performance, customer demographics, and product popularity.
By aggregating and visualizing data, PepsiCo's teams could make more informed decisions regarding marketing strategies, product placements, and inventory management.
Although initially designed for internal use, the dashboard was built with the potential to serve as an extranet for retail partners, facilitating data-driven collaboration and strategic alignment.
