FAQ
What is an AI readiness assessment?
An AI readiness assessment evaluates how prepared your organization is to adopt AI — across your data, systems, workflows, and governance. It identifies where AI can create measurable value, what stands in the way, and what needs to happen first. Without one, most organizations either over-invest in the wrong areas or underinvest where AI could have the most impact.
How is AI Pathfinder different from general AI consulting?
Most AI consulting engagements are open-ended and time-consuming. AI Pathfinder is a defined, time-boxed assessment with fixed deliverables. You know exactly what you're getting — a scorecard, an executive brief, a full report, and a visual deck — and you get it in 10 business days to 6 weeks depending on the scope you choose. We focus on your operations first. Technology and vendors come second.
How long does AI Pathfinder take?
The Snapshot option runs 10 business days. Core is 3 weeks. Pathfinder + Pilot Kickstart runs 4–6 weeks. Timeline also depends on stakeholder availability for interviews and working sessions.
Do we need clean or mature data to start?
No. AI Pathfinder includes a data readiness snapshot as part of the assessment. We identify what data you have, what's usable now, what needs cleanup, and how to structure a responsible pilot given your current state. Waiting for perfect data is usually how organizations fall 18 months behind.
Is AI Pathfinder just vendor or tool selection?
Only if that's what the situation calls for. The focus is on selecting the right use cases and sequencing them correctly. Tool and vendor selection should follow your target architecture and constraints — not the other way around.
What industries do you work with?
Any organization with workflow-heavy operations. We've run assessments across financial services, insurance, healthcare, professional services, manufacturing, and nonprofit sectors. Use cases and risk frameworks are tailored to your domain.
What's the difference between AI readiness and AI maturity?
AI readiness is about whether you can start: do you have the data, systems, and organizational capacity to run a pilot? AI maturity is about how far along you are after you've already been running AI programs. AI Pathfinder addresses readiness — it's designed for organizations that haven't yet committed to a specific implementation path.
What happens after AI Pathfinder?
You can use the roadmap internally to guide your own implementation. Or you can partner with DOOR3 to run the pilot and scale what works. Most clients use the AI Pathfinder deliverables to get internal buy-in, then move into a pilot engagement within 30–60 days.
How do I know if the ROI projections are realistic?
The ROI model in Pathfinder Core documents all assumptions — labor costs, automation rates, error reduction estimates — so you can pressure-test the numbers with your own finance team. We don't use ranges pulled from industry reports. The model is built from your actual workflow data.
Ready to build your AI
implementation plan?
A 30-minute conversation is enough to figure out whether AI Pathfinder is the right starting point. We'll ask about your workflows, your goals, and your constraints — then recommend the right engagement option.
